Introduction

Throughout my 15 years of Digital Marketing, I have been able to lead, manage, innovate and streamline processes across all facets of Digital Marketing Systems and Operations. Below are three key case studies that highlight my commitment to excellence, efficiency, and strategic growth.

Challenge:

The primary challenge was twofold: first, to acquire and manage 100 websites within the given timeframe, and second, to do so while simultaneously establishing a new team and building the operational framework for our in-house digital marketing agency.

Solution:

To tackle this challenge, we adopted a phased approach that allowed for flexibility and collaboration. Initially, we used a whiteboard with sticky notes to map out our processes, implementing an agile methodology that facilitated quick adaptations and team alignment. This method allowed us to work efficiently across departments, including IT, integrations, account representatives, and C-level staff, ensuring that all necessary resources and information were captured in a timely manner.

Outcome:

Challenge:

Our previous web development process was resource-intensive, requiring 90 days to design and launch a single website. This timeline was unsustainable for our growth objectives.

Solution:

In 2023, we transitioned from custom-developed themes to implementing the Bricks website builder for our WordPress sites. This shift allowed us to reduce the time needed to launch new websites by 50%, bringing the average timeline down to just 45 days. Bricks Builder provided us with the flexibility to maintain unique, high-quality designs without the cookie-cutter appearance, while also streamlining the process by reducing the number of personnel required.

Outcome:

  • Improved design flexibility, allowing for personalized branding without sacrificing speed.

Challenge:

Managing patient referrals across over 100 dental practices required a secure and efficient system, particularly given the need for HIPAA compliance. Our existing process was fragmented and time-consuming.

Solution:

After thorough research in late 2023, we selected GoHighLevel (GHL) as our CRM solution due to its HIPAA-compliance and robust feature set. By implementing GHL in January 2024, we streamlined our referral management process. A pilot test across three dental offices demonstrated the CRM’s effectiveness, recording 1,200 referrals in the first three months, with a 37.67% conversion rate into scheduled appointments.

Outcome:

  • 50% increase in efficiency for managing referrals.

  • Enhanced tracking and follow-up processes.

  • Seamless integration with website referrals, providing a comprehensive dashboard for lead management.

Challenge:

Upon acquisition, it became clear that many of the sites needed extensive optimization work. Our initial strategy involved constructing a detailed plan and calendar for the team. The approach focused on working through 5 to 7 sites per day, with a prioritized list of SEO tasks. However, the team soon found themselves bogged down in the complexities of each site. The nature of SEO work can lead to "rabbit holes"—deep dives into intricate problems that, while important, slowed overall progress.

Solution:

Recognizing the need for a more efficient strategy, we transitioned to an SEO sprint model. This approach allowed the team to focus intensely on specific tasks within a short, defined period. By integrating SEMrush with Trello, we could push prioritized tasks directly into our project management tool, ensuring that the team remained focused on the most critical issues. This integration required a certain level of SEMrush subscription, but it proved invaluable in streamlining the workflow.

Outcome:

  • 95% Site Health

  • 100% Team Participation

Challenge:

With new digital privacy laws requiring cookie banners in 2024, we faced the risk of a 70% drop in website traffic due to users opting out of tracking. This would severely impact the accuracy of our website analytics.

Solution:

In response, we researched and implemented Channelmix, an advanced analytics tool that does not rely on cookies. Channelmix integrates seamlessly with our internal Microsoft Power BI, enabling us to measure website and ad performance at scale without compromising user privacy.

Outcome:

  • Maintained data accuracy despite the introduction of cookie banners.

  • Compliant and privacy-focused tracking solution.

  • Enhanced reporting capabilities, with data accessible to all departments and upper management via Power BI.
